Sunfest 2023
Fall brings with it one of Ocean City, Maryland’s signature festivals, which also happens to be one of the biggest outdoor shindigs in the whole region: the legendary Sunfest! This year’s edition will be going down from Thursday, October 19th through Sunday, October 22nd, and you really won’t want to miss it.
After all, the family-friendly action covers an awful lot of territory over four very full and very fun days, from live music to homerun eats and drinks to arts-and-crafts.
Sunfest boasts two stages of live music, with this year’s performers including Spin Doctors, Callum and the Storm, Dry Reef, Guys in Thin Ties, Randy Lee Ashcraft & the Salt Water Cowboys, Signal Fire, and Bob Lougheed & The Memphis Mafia.
You’ll also find north of 200 artisans, artists, and craftspeople presenting their highly varied wares and creations, plus all sorts of food vendors.
And in terms of fun, games, and spectacles, Sunfest delivers big time. Try your hand at beach tennis, take a beach-tractor ride, or test your navigational abilities in the Beach Maze. The Great Pumpkin Race is a guaranteed blast, as is the beach bonfire and fireworks that go down on Saturday night.
And four-legged festivalgoers are some of the genuine stars of the show at Sunfest, with a whole gaggle of pet-oriented events: from Most Tail Wags in 60 Seconds and Musical Chair Pairs competitions to agility trials and the (absolutely unmissable) Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade & Pageant.
